In the old days of Cyprus, agriculture was the heartbeat of daily life. People worked from dawn to dusk, and harvest time was both exhausting and essential. With a sickle in hand, farmers cut the golden wheat into sheaves, the drepani becoming a symbol of strength and perseverance. With simple tools and endless patience, they fed their families and kept the land alive.

But harvest was also a social celebration. Everyone joined in, young and old, while women prepared food and sang traditional songs. At day’s end, the Harvester’s Dance echoed the rhythms of reaping, bringing the community together in joy and shared effort. These memories live on in our hearts.
